Fight Goliath in your Life
12:36 PM
Do you know the story of David and Goliath?
Do you wonder how amazing it is that David was able to fought and beat down Goliath despite of the huge difference in their sizes?
Their fight is just like how people do their bests to live with the fullness of God. Everyone has problems, worries and concerns - these range from small things to bigger ones. We can resolve some of these today, and we usually decide to deal with the others the next day. But what can be worse than realizing these things can double or triple up the next day?
Before Kerygma Conference 2016 happened in my life, I was a man who doesn't have self-control over my two biggest demons - lust (sexual) and temptation (in buying stuff/being materialistic). I didn't had a full week where these two were not influencing me.
But after attending the conference, everything has changed. Through the event, I learned to arm myself against these demons. I was able to pick the right battle gears for me to fight these two Goliaths of my life. From Day 1 to 4 of the conference, I learned new things about God, how wonderful His works are, and how He can lead our paths to greatness and prosperity. He allowed me to choose the weapons I can use to fight my Goliaths, and among all the weapons available - his mercy has become my weapon.
It is His forgiveness that made me stronger and better, and I realized that with Him, I can beat down these Goliaths and all those ones who are yet to come.
Do you have a Goliath in your life that brings you down and disturbs you in your everyday living? The weapons that you need will only come from God. Through Him, you will win!
Do not be afraid of all your problems and struggles in lives. Just like how David fought Goliath, God will make you stronger and smarter in each passing day, as long as you welcome Him wholly and faithfully in your heart, and you will surely get His best weapon to fight your biggest enemies.

Had the same goliaths as you have. And yes i'm learning to fight them everyday. It is really difficult but when I overcome the feeling I felt victorious and blessed that I was able to resist them.
ReplyDeleteHaving a stronger faith to God will surely help you in resisting your Goliaths to attack you again. God bless!
DeleteI agree! God's mercy is our powerful weapon indeed. My Goliaths are lust, pride and sloth. Deadly sins. But because of God's mercy, He was able to tell me that it's okay, I can be a better person tomorrow.
