When God Called Me Through Someone I Liked

Can you recall the exact moment when God
called upon you?
Mine was when I
met this beautiful girl during the time
when I was having a deep financial and emotional crisis. She introduced me to
the idea of bringing yourself closer to God, and building your relationship
with Him; thus, I was encouraged to attend one of the Thursday sessions in The
Feast Salcedo in Makati City with her.
At first, all I
wanted was her, for she is my ideal type, and it was really a long while since
I’d liked someone that I was able to get contact with (others were just
Facebook chats, though I approached her through this as well). My goal was to know
her more, and someday, to court her and have her as my girlfriend.
But those things didn’t happen. Instead,
something greater and better came into my life.
Because of her, I got to know more about
God, and my life right now is currently driving the road towards Him. God
allowed me to know her as His instrument for me to restore my faith in Him. Even
though I wasn’t able to court her, I was able to court God by giving up to Him
my life and allowing Him to lead my path.
God is everywhere, and He can call us in
many different ways. He can command people, and can manifest in many different
things, to shout our names and say “I’m
here now, come back to me.” – especially in the most difficult time of your
lives.
I pray that when you are in a deep
struggle, you won’t give up the fight. God is the answer and He is the way. He
will soon call you up, to welcome you in his arms and embrace you with all His
grace.

Like! This experience is somehow similar to some people I know, the only difference is that those guys gave up the opportunity to get closer to God... so I am glad you are different and let God welcomed you back to Him again! Yay! And yes maybe their time is yet to come...
