Devo 4 Week 4: November 24, 2016 - He Tests My Faith
8:05 AM“Though he slays me, yet will I hope in him.”
(Job 13:15)
He tests my faith.
As we undergo situations in life, situations that may cause us pain, disappointment, loneliness and a lot of negative attacks Job says to still trust and hope in the Lord.
Ate Nova my cell leader once told us in our group about a story of a man from the Bible. Not sure if it is Job and I forgot his name. That man was borrowed by the devil from God and He allowed it. And so this man was put to the hands of the devil and he attacked him several times to make the man suffer. God allowed it to happen to test the man if He is obedient and if he trusts the love of God.
God does not hurt us. God does not harm us. But he allows the enemy to attack us to test our faith in Him. Even though He allows it, He never leaves us during the attack. It is up to us if we hold on to God or if we give in to the enemy's plot.
Lord God, as I learn how life is here on earth I will continue trusting in your love because I know your love for me is unconditional and eternal. I will always hold on to You even the enemy gives me the worst feelings and situations. Nothing will shake my faith in You. Thank you Lord for showing me Your love through the lives of my family and friends, and through Your unexpected ways. Bless their lives and let them grow more with You as I do. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
