Leading People Starts Within You

I think I have the leadership sense in me. Since I was an elementary student, I am always getting the role of leading people - coming up a plan, explaining the details to my teams, working with them to come up with strategies, and executing them to achieve the goals. I had a fair share of winning and loosing to other teams, but I don't remember bragging our winning steaks when we win, and throwing backslashes to winners when we loose. .
But as I grow up, I started learning more about leadership. One of my dreams is to help people who are in need - give them words of wisdom to enable them in their lives. I want to lead such people, so I can help them be better than who they are before. This dream is similar to doing philantrophic work, and even though the idea of it gives me chills because of how vast the efforts for this can be, I never erased my dream from my list.
Leading people in a much better way is not just speaking to them and having them listen to you, and is also not just about listening to them and absorbing their ideas. It is all about being able to understand how you give yourself to others so you can lead them well.
But if you are weary, have problems and are always worrying, and you are eager to lead people, how do you think you will going to influence them? In this case, you'll just going to share to them your weariness, problems and worries. Don't do that. Start leading yourself first.
Lead yourself to be a better person - accept God in your life, and allow His works to influence every aspect of your well-being. Through this, you will have a refreshed mind and heart as you assume a leadership role, which will make you be a more effective leader.
Start with yourself! Lead yourself towards God and He will make you what you want to become as a leader.
