Don't Be Afraid of Death
9:13 PM
I'm not afraid to die. When my time comes, I will let it come. For I know that God welcomes everyone with open arms and heart even after death.
But what I'm afraid of is leaving without doing something purposeful.
When thinking about death, I always wonder what good things I have already done while being alive. But when recalling those things, I just get sad. It pains me every time I realize I only did little good compared to those bad ones.
Before I die, I should have at least served God well, gave love and did good things. But right now, I'm not even doing a 10% of it. A lot of things (and people) in this world are very influential - so influential that they take you out of the right path towards God and the good things He desires us to do. I must admit I fell prey to sins that were so bad, I just want to end everything. But I definitely wouldn't do that because God continuously guides me. Because He loves me, just like how He loves each one of us. Even though we are great sinners, He will always be there whenever we need Him or not, whenever we struggle or not.
I believe we should start living this world as far better versions of ourselves. Let us all do good things, and stay away from doing sinful things that God doesn't want us to do; Let us all start serving Him and be richer in every aspect of our lives; Let us all patch up the conflicts we have with our loved ones, neighbors and friends; and Let us allow Him to flow into us so all our perspectives in life fall accordingly to His favor.
Most importantly, live your life being true to yourself. It should always start within you. For me, this one is the hardest.
After that, you can finally say you're ready, and even the happiest to be able to live this current time.
My favorite verse/s for today's gospel: John 11:25-26, which says:
"25 Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live, 26and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?"
