Devo 2 Week 1: Dec 1, 2016 - God Created Everything

11:23 PM

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)

He created all things - earth, and the whole universe.

This verse reminds us that everything we see from where we are standing, from what we have read, from what our eyes can reach and where our feet can go to, were all created by God even before He created His children.

At some point in my life, back when I was a kid, I believed science more than God. That all things started with some mass and that the earth was part of that mass growing enormously inside a bigger mass which is the galaxy. All of the planets might have different creatures that we dont look alike thus making me think God did not create them because it is not in the Bible. No sign of aliens or weird creatures in Genesis, only animals, plants and man. No sign of other planets, only earth. This belief was an effect of watching films and documentaries about evolution and aliens and even textbooks we have during school days.

But all was of perfect design, even the planets other than the earth. Why do they exists? Why does the sun light them up? Why do we have a moon? And other planets have more than one? Why are they rotating and revolving (perfect in distance not causing collision). Is it possible that the heavens mentioned inin the verse is the universe?

I watched ancient aliens or chariot of the Gods for more than once and I am likely to believe that maybe God also created aliens or may be God sent those creatures to help us or tell us something. I was confused and there were a lot of questions. But one thing is for sure. There is a God who created all those I question about.

I believe in His power and I believe that He majestically created all these for our sake because of His expression of love. And because of that love I am here on earth and will return to Him by faith and at His right time.
