Making Decisions in Life
8:51 PM
After listening to Bro. Bo's Full Tank episode for today, he made me realize that we can make a good decision when we declare and put our trust to God. But not all the time, God will give us a sign as to whether our decisions in life will be good enough or beneficial to us.
When I make a big decision, I always ended up having sleepless nights, disturbed focus and increase of appetite due to stress of thinking about it so much. I am really not good in making decisions. That is my nature. But after the Full Tank episode today, I felt hope that I can now be better in decision-making.
There are four things I just need to do to always come up with decisions that will be beneficial:
1. Hear God's words through Bible reading or daily Gospel reflections, for the lessons we can pickup through this will help us analyze our current situation, values and beliefs towards things we will decide upon;
2. Consult wise people, for their advices can come from real-life experiences they already had;
3. Ask yourself why, to determine the importance of such decision and the degree of benefits it can give to you and to the people it concerns with; and
4. Do the walk, or be fearless in coming up with a decision and bringing it to life. Aim to succeed, but never be afraid to fail.
A new year is coming in just a few days, and I am now in the middle of laying out my goals. This requires me a lot of decision-making, but I am now more inspired than ever because of the lessons I learned today through Bro. Bo. But I will still continue praying that God will give me strength and guidance as to whatever the outcome will be after setting my goals for the future.

This is really a nice read! I also find it hard to decide even on small things. I still tend to depend on people who are more knowledgeable or think if the effects would be beneficial to me. This post you have will be a good reference for my decision-making situations this year! Thanks! This would really help. :) One thing to add that can be point number 5 maybe is 1 Thessalonians 5:17 - Pray continually. :)
ReplyDeleteLet's always do what 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says as point number 5 every time we make decisions :)
