God is Beside Us

A year ago, I suffered from depression, due to the financial burdens I had in the family that I needed to address as soon as possible. I suffered a lot in terms of dealing with these financial challenges, which I ended up worrying how I could get my life back on track.
During this very dark period of my life, I seek God lesser than how many times I seek Him today. Whenever I had problems, I always ran into the blame games - I blamed my parents for their inability to get a job that could sustain the family, and I blamed my older brother for getting into marriage at an early age and leaving his responsibilities in the family to me. I forgot that God has the answer, and praying to Him and declaring my faith to Him are the essential things to do.
But I was recently reminded that whatever problems we ran into, and whatever troubles we have in our hearts, we should not let those conquer us. God is always beside us through thick and thin; He is there watching us especially on the times we are in grief.
He is actually there with us on our darkest days. We just cannot see Him because it is indeed dark in our lives due to having our hearts and minds being clogged with worries. The only thing to do is allow Him to enter our lives - to see His light shine through again.
Today I pray that God will continue to be on my side, especially in times of great depression and struggle. I also pray that those people who are currently suffering, they may find the light through praying and believing that God will never leave us alone and He will someday put us in a much better situation.
