We Are Chosen By God

10:56 PM

"Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her." -

I have read the verse above from today's Gospel sent by the Kerygma Family (from the Companion book). Almost all Catholics, if not all such as little children, knows the story of Mama Mary. She was the chosen blessed mother of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. She was a virgin, but her faith to God didn't stop her from conceiving a child. As the angel cleared to her that God has chosen her, she uttered the words above.

When we live life in the grace and holiness of God, we start to feel the Holy Spirit taking upon us. This is because we believe in God that his love for us will be eternal, and that we can be forgiven from our sins. As we live like this, we allow Him to enter our lives deeper, to maneuver us according to His will (the Word).

But we will face different hardships as we live in God's way, such as battling off the temptations of the flesh. Whenever I feel that evil is nearby, I really fight hard by praying and remembering God's words. Then I allow Him to take me over to fight evil.

God has chosen me to live my life according to His words. And now that I praise and worship Him, I let Him do the things in my life based on His great plans for me. Today, I feel Him in everything I do. Because of Him, I am strong right now.

I pray that you will continue living your life according to God's words. Someday, His great plans for you will be put into action.
