From Nothing to Something

“… the water that had become wine…” – John 2:9

Today I learned that if we believe in God, and our trust in Him is pure and strong, all the things we first thought that don't have value to us will become good, useful and beneficial for our lives.

When talking about relationships (that "love" thing), I know that right now, I'm no good at that. I came across people who could be potential partners, but I kept telling myself I am no good for them.

Even right now, I still consider myself as undeserving to be in a relationship, because entirely, I am a very confused person. I don't know yet how I should live my life. Adding to this are my huge responsibilities to the family - getting us a new home to live, and my little brothers' school expenses. These keep me away from meeting the right one for me.

But even I'm not in a relationship with someone, I am committed to God and to my family; I continue living because of them. I started from nothing - lost, unguided, and a sinner, but now as I look myself, I already gained something that I don't have before - God and His love through my family, my job, the blessings I receive, the safety I get everyday and many more.

I will make my faith to God much more stronger than ever, so that I can continue moving forward, and make my "nothing's" bear fruits, because it is only through Him that we can live prosperously and joyfully.

Thank you, Lord, for helping me realize that, from nothing, I could be something, and that from receiving nothing, I can get more in the right time as you have planned for me.

  1. God is preparing all of us before the right person comes or the right time for us to marry. Because when God's time comes, He wanted your love for one another is similar to how much Christ loves His church. And the good thing is that you are already in that process of preparation. In His right time, the nothing you think you are before will be something or someone who will be deserved by the person God will give to you as God had provided a woman to Adam.
