We Are Still a Child

And, "I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty." ~ 2 Corinthians 6:18
Do you remember your childhood days when you always defy your Mom's instructions, such as playing outside the house when the sun was totally up, or even not doing household chores?
I believe we are all still children, not just to our dear parents, but also to God, our Father. We might have defied a lot of instructions from our Dads and Moms, but at the end of the day, we are still their precious children.
Same case with God.
He continuously and unconditionally loves us, that despite our flaws, sins, betrayals, defiance and negligence of His words and His desire for us to follow Him, we are still His very dear children. God comes even much closer to our hearts, touching our lives, because of the same reason that He wants us to be righteous and influence others to live righteously according to His teachings.
Now that I have realized this more than those days I was trying to bring back myself closer to Him, I have made a decision - I will obey God, and I will do all things that greatly favors Him. I will arm myself with more weapons to beat down my current Goliath - something lustful that always beat the crap out of me. Knowing that God loves me and I am his beloved child, I believe I can win this fight.
Thank you, Lord, for making me feel I am truly loved by You, as one of your children who sees that your door is always open for us to enter, to be righteous as we live our lives closer to You.
