You won't know unless you try
11:04 PM"He said to them, 'Come, and you will see.'" John 1:39
I watched a movie last night despite the feedback I received that it's not good. I contested because I saw the trailer and for me it looks okay. Off I went to the cinema and realized that it wasn't my cup of tea. It wasn't that bad of a movie; it's just okay. Will I be able to say right off the bat that I hate it if I haven't really tried watching it? No, I wouldn't. If I believed that it was not good based on another's perception, I would've missed the experience of discovering what it really is.
We are called to follow Jesus. If today you are having doubts on His promise of love and peace, I encourage you to try. Try to pray. Try to go to church. Try to read the Bible. Along the way, I pray that you discover what He has in store for us.
Lord, thank you for guiding us in our journey of getting to know You better. We entrust our lives to You. Amen.

I am now trying to read the Bible everyday, starting with 1 John. As I read, I felt that the messages of its chapters and verses all point to me and how I live my life, teaching me what I should start and stop doing. I began to learn new things and became more enlightened on how beautiful life can be, if we live it with God in our hearts.
ReplyDeleteNow, I'm getting consistent in reading the Bible, after just trying to read one chapter from it. I'm very happy that I tried!
