Walk the talk

"For they preach but they do not practice.." Matthew 23:3
One of the toughest things to do is to actually apply the advice you gave others to yourself. It's very easy to say to a friend, do this or that. But when the time comes that it happens to you, you can't even bring yourself to do it.
I remember one time when I was so frustrated, I was crying my eyes out when a friend came up to me and asked how I was. I said I'm fine and started ranting. Then my friend told me, "In your recent vlog, you said..." I was shocked. "Did I say that?" My friend nodded. From that moment on, I told myself if I should start watching my video blogs more often. Lol.
Kidding aside, it made me realize that there are indeed people who observe and watch. "Walking the talk" is not to please these people. It's not for them; it's for you and your integrity as a person. If you aim for leadership and change, you should be the first person who practices what you preach. It is not easy. I am super guilty of this that up to this writing, honestly, I'm failing in this matter. But I hold on.
Friends, let's all hold on. The best way to change the world, is to be that change. Let us humble ourselves that we too fail and we need to get up and try again.
Father, guide us so we can walk the talk. Let this talk be of Your ways.
