Stay Sober and Alert
1:26 PM
"Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings."
- 1 Peter 5:8-9 NIV
After coming from a major letdown, I was again standing up, and my legs are stronger (not because I do leg workouts, but because God helped me to get back on my feet). Now, I have a purpose - to live like Jesus and share to others the love and blessings that God is showering to me.
A new battle has been again declared, but the enemy is still the same. The devil can come into our lives in many different forms - a person, an event or an object, and can devour us in so many ways. I had first-hand experiences on these events, so I totally know what the feeling is like to lose against that wicked entity.
But with the powerful advise from 1 Peter 5:8-9, I was reminded of the importance of not letting our guards down, especially to me who just came from a big loss. Putting on the right armor and yielding the right sword are outstandingly essential. For me, my armor is God, who watches me all the time and protects me with His arms full of blessings and grace; and that sword I need - it is His love and mercy.
Thank you, Lord, for your love, as it keeps me in both offensive and defensive stance against the devil.

Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Let's fight them all together with all these weapons! After all, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37
