Not Worth Carrying a Grudge Over

"If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back."
- Luke 6:29-30
Yesterday, I got my phone stolen from me. Before alighting from the train, I was holding my phone inside my pocket, but some people bumped into me, making me angry as I tried to push them away. I was not aware that these people did that on purpose for me to remove my hand out of my pocket so they could get my phone. I felt how they pulled it out, but too late to turn around to take it back. It all happened just seconds after I alighted from the train.
My very first thought after realizing my phone was gone was that - I would not get it back anymore. At first, it didn't sink in immediately. But as I talked to the police, go to SMART to block network signal from my old SIM card, and go online at a computer shop in Cubao to secure all my accounts, I started accepting that it is now gone.
As of this writing, I am now okay, still jolly and cool as ever! I am still very positive, because this is God's plan for me to have something far better than that phone. It can also be a way for that thief to get money to spend for a greater need he might have. But most importantly, it is just a worldly possession - it is not worth carrying a grudge over.
But I'm going to take extra care and be more mindful of myself and my belongings from now on!
Thank you, Lord, for keeping in me a positive energy to continue in my life despite of the loss. I believe you have now better plans for me in commence.
